Intriguing Doors in Israel

There’s something about a door that suggests security mingled with a smidgen of secrecy. Doors fascinate me. Israel was a great location for beholding intriguing doors. Take a peek in today’s post.

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7 & 8 (NLT)

The Garden Tomb – this ‘open door’ declares, “He is risen!”

Now on the first day of the week, at early dawn, the women went to the tomb, taking the aromatic spices they had prepared.  They found that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood beside them in dazzling attire.  The women were terribly frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has been raised! Luke 24:1-6 (NET)

I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Revelation 3:8 (NIV)

I’d like to close with this quote I like a lot:

Until God opens the next door, praise him in the hallway![1]
