As long as the earth remains, there will be springtime…
(Genesis 8:22 TLB)
Are you, like me, getting tired of winter?
Oftentimes by March 1st, I can see hopeful signs of spring.
Not this year! Tulip bulbs we poked into last year’s autumn soil remain buried under more than two feet of snow.
So far, the only promises of spring I’ve seen have been the return of a variety of birds to our backyard. Today, I’m thinking we all may need a little reminder spring is coming so decided to share some photos Ron captured of our feathered friends.
A majestic Canadian Robin
Oregon Junco munching seeds scattered on ‘clouds’ of snow.
Cedar Waxwing enjoying one of the few remaining berries on our Alberta Prairiefire tree. If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant.

Couldn’t resist this adorable photo of the pesky backyard squirrel we’ve named Rocky!
