Faith is a Journey…

Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.” As one who embraces the message of Christianity, I believe in an ultimate destination, but before arriving at my Heavenly home, the journey is significant. I’m convinced God intends our journeys to be meaningful adventures of discovery, transformation, and progress.

Perhaps that belief is the reason I am fascinated with photos of paths and roads. My husband, Ron, had me in mind when he took these two photos during a couple of his recent photo excursions.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about faith journeys. Oftentimes, someone shares with me in coaching or spiritual direction they feel God wants to do something “BIG” in their lives. It makes sense to me that our “BIG” God wants to do “BIG” things for His children.

Here’s what I’m realizing about “Big-God” things. They occur as we keep moving forward one small, sacred step at a time.

I hope Ron’s photos and my brief reflections will bless you in the small, sacred steps you take in your faith journey today!

Blessings on your Journey,
