The Constant in My Change…

Four times each year I change a seasonal welcome sign on our front porch.

Honestly, it seemed as if I’d just changed it for summer when it was time to replace summer’s greeting less than two weeks ago with one welcoming Autumn.

Life, like the seasons, seems to change so very quickly.

Are you experiencing a season of change and transition you weren’t quite expecting?  Yeah. Me too.

Or, are you waiting for a change that feels like it will never arrive? Well, I’ve been in that place before.

When I’m feeling discombobulated by change, especially the not-so-welcome variety, I find comfort in relying on the never-changing character of God. I hope these words from Scripture will encourage you as they do me.

My help comes from the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth!

He will not let you stumble;
the one who watches over you will not slumber.

(Psalms 121:2 & 3 NLT)

Prayer:

Lord God, Who Made Heaven and Earth:

When winds of change swirl all around,

Remind my soul You are my Constant.

You will never collapse.

You will never get weary.

You will never fall asleep.

Help me journey onward through every changing season

With confidence in Who You are and

Whose I am.

Amen

Blessings on your Journey…
