Celebrating “My Man!”

He’s been my friend for over 45 years. Forty-three of those years, he’s also been my husband.

Some of you know Ron through the lovely photos he captures, many of which I use in blog posts. Photography has been Ron’s hobby since his younger “hippy” days in Southern California. In the past few years, he has worked to hone his craft. It’s been a joy to watch his skill grow, and of course, I love partnering with him in the Listening on the Journey … blog.

Ron is my biggest supporter. He passes out many more business cards than I do, always encouraging folks to “Check out my wife’s blog. I think you’ll like it!”

Today, I want to give a shout-out to him. I am so proud to let you know that one of his lovely astrophotography photos was purchased by Astronomy Magazine and will be featured in their August issue. The Milky Way photo, shown above, was taken at Rose Lake in North Idaho, several months ago.

Looking at Ron’s nighttime photo, one can imagine the psalmist may have been overcome with wonder when he declared:

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
    The skies display his craftsmanship.

Psalm 19:1 (NLT)

Most photos I take of Ron are taken with my phone and are of him taking pictures, like this one of him photographing flowers at the Skagit County Tulip Festival in 2021.

I like this photo with its message which seems to say, “I heart Ron!” (which, of course, I

do! But BTW, I also really loved our trip last summer to New York!)

Blessings on your journey!
