Discovery Ripples Make a Difference

A few Saturdays ago, my husband participated with a group of guys from our home church during what was called “Man Day 2024.”

After a day filled with lots of activities, I asked Ron how it went. His simple answer was, “Great. Those are a good bunch of men.” Guys encouraging guys, building relationships, and enjoying camaraderie. I loved that my husband had this opportunity.

A couple days later, Ron wrote the following about a group of photos he took. I liked his thoughts and wanted to share them with you today.

Ron wrote:

While on “Man Day 2024”, I was with a group of men that went to “Catch & Shoot.” We spent much of the morning at a fishing pond in the Silver Valley. Most of the guys fished. I wandered around taking photos.

Some of my favorite photos were tossing a pebble in still water, catching the splash and watching the ripples that radiated out.

The logo for our home church, Lake City Church, is a pebble falling into a pool of water with ripples radiating in all directions. It’s hard to say how far the ripples will travel and who will be touched by their movements.

These photos I took remind me that just like ripples in a pond, the love of Jesus radiates through us and throughout our areas of influence.
